The Lookout Spa and Hotel will be North Bay’s newest quality spa and hotel destination. Nestled near the serene shores of Lake Nipissing overlooking Callander Bay, The Lookout Hotel and Spa is just minutes from the town of Callander and the city of North Bay. This lakeside resort offers an unforgettable all season retreat for every type of traveler: outdoor enthusiasts seeking adventure in winter, families craving quality time together in summer, couples longing for a romantic getaway, solo travelers in search of tranquility and waterfront accommodations or an onsite 18 hole golf course, nature lovers who value eco-friendly stays. The Lookout Hydrothermal Spa is scheduled for December 2026 opening.
We are looking for a Spa Director to join our team now, ahead of opening. The Spa Director is a visionary leader responsible for overall operational excellence, and financial performance of The Lookout Spa. The Spa Director will perform a variety of duties with quality and commitment, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience. The Spa Director will lead the spa team by example, and will foster improvement and innovation, in order to ensure the growth of The Lookout Spa and its reputation as a premier wellness destination.
Assist with pre-opening and opening.
Attain spa sales targets.
Monitor and control the quality operations of the spa.
Coordinate and generate media releases, advertising, promotions and social media.
Maintain proper records, files and information.
Coordinate and follow through on combined promotions, group bookings, events.
Implement budgets, monitor and control spa operations.
Ensure a full, productive staff team, through proactive interviewing and hiring.
Onboard and train new employees, conduct staff meetings and performance reviews.
Liaise with community and professional organizations to ensure positive consistent marketing of The Lookout Spa.
Oversee quality control of guest experience, services and operations. Ensure The Lookout Spa standards, procedures and policies are practiced consistently and updated as required.
Job requirements
5 years spa leadership experience.
Must have Canadian work permit. Proven track record in managing spa operations.
Strong ability in team development.
Excellent financial understanding.
Passionate about creating a memorable guest experience in a wellness environment.
Outstanding organizational, leadership and communication skills.
