- Nest Spa Assistant Manager
Description
The main purpose of the Assistant Spa Manager is to assist the Director and Manager of Spa and Wellness in overseeing the successful daily operations of Nest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Scheduling of Spa Therapists and Coordinators
Respond to time-sensitive guest requests for spa and wellness appointments
Create and place back bar orders for spa locker room needs
Responding to activity needs
Create Cat-C’s as needed
Oversee all aspects of the spa reception team (coordinators), including: Onboarding and training new coordinators according to Nest SOPs
Ensuring accuracy in appointments, charges, and retail sales
Conduct semi-annual performance reviews in conjunction with the spa manager
Developing and implementing monthly incentives for coordinators and updating results daily
Work with the Facilities team to ensure Nest. is clean and ready for guests every day
Maintain common area guest supplies (locker rooms, lounge, etc.)
Maintain respectful working relationships with other departments
Work at the desk and in the retail area welcoming and interacting with guests and leading by example
Motivate the team and ensure policies and procedures are followed
Become familiar with spa services including massages, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, and facials
Serve as Manager on Duty
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.
Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision of Nest. Service Providers and Coordinators
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3 years’ supervisor experience required, spa experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have excellent verbal skills
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic knowledge and understanding of math
REASONING ABILITY
Be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
Be able to stand for long periods of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT
5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain property
Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting
